Hello, everyone!
We just want to let you know that we've changed the code in Rule 3 (which you can use to black out or grey out your warnings, if you so choose) to be accessible to screenreaders. We'd like to thank
alexconall for bringing it to our attention.
The major change with the new code is that it has a link that can be used to skip past the warning text (for people who think of warnings as potential spoilers or for those who just don't care). As the code is currently written, it will place the link to skip the spoiler on one line, the greyed-out spoiler on the next, and the landing spot for the link on the following line. You can, of course, adjust it so everything is on one line, if you so choose.
We do ask that you use the screenreader-accessible code from here on; it's the considerate thing to do, and it falls under Rule 12: Be excellent to one another. You do not, of course, have to grey out or black out spoilers if you don't want to, and you can change the color of the bar obscuring the spoilers and the spoilers themselves. The accessibility is all we ask.
Thank you, and many thanks to
alexconall for bringing this to our attention!
