RainbowFic Questions & Suggestions July 16 - 22

As I said on the discord, I'm making a weekly post (more or less) where people can ask questions about how things work. This includes 'does this supply or style count for this?' and 'what are the limits on this?' This is also a place for suggestions, including games, colors, styles, etc.

There are a good amount of things that have fuzzy limits or definitions and that's okay. You're allowed to use your judgement of how to use a list, supply, style, etc. But I also want to acknowledge that not everyone is comfortable with ambiguity and that some people need more concrete answers. So this is where to get those (and then it'll be added to the appropriate page). But there are no tag/prompt/writing police here (I don't have energy for that shit)

Anyone can answer (please, if you've been here longer, jump in and help). Please take time to check what the different rainbowlists pages say because they might have the answer, but don't be afraid to ask something that seems obvious: it may be that I need to clarify a description or q&a. Checking the tags on rainbowfic to see how something has been used is also a good way to get answers, or at least precedent.

I'll check these posts at least once a week and I'll be using these as a resource to find things that need to be added or improved in the q&as.

Yet another list I'd love to come up with is one specifically for polyamorous relationships of various sorts, but I have absolutely no idea of any sort of color for that. So as of now it's just a thought.

Come to think of it maybe it'd be better to wait until after the 11 years event is done and then maybe arrange it as a custom color for an event, if you'd be interested. Maybe from start of Feb to end of March, since Multiamory March is a thing and could be a source of some prompts for it.

Might be worth brainstorming about.

Bookblather is doing an 11 years event every month, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah, that's fine, I figured including March would be good since the other event we're running is going down in March. I'll have to talk to my co-mods at polyamships though. (There is fic there but original stuff is allowed and I'd really love to encourage more of it, since I think I'm the only person right now who's posted any.)

A lot of the list names are only vaguely related to the theme, so feel free to go wild. Maybe try to make it a hue we don't have a ton of (so not green)?

The list doesn't have many multicolored lists. I was thinking of Polychromic Opal.

Either the second or fourth opal pictured on this site would make a fantastic base for an image, although I don't know how much trouble adding the flecks of color would be.
