Spring RP: The Hennessy Home
The house sits on a bluff above the sea, with a winding path down to a sandy beach leading away from the yard. It is three stories high, stucco and terracotta, and would look forbiddingly expensive were it not for the worn tire swing hanging from a tree and the flip-flops left strewn around the outdoor pool.
Inside, the house looks much the same--expensive but lived-in. A grand piano, clearly used, dominates one room. Another room has couches and chairs neatly arranged like a museum, with beat-up books and magazines filling its shelves and cupboards. It is light and airy, with huge windows, a well-stocked kitchen, and first-rate entertainment systems.
The first and second floors seem to be generalized living spaces, with the bedrooms on the third floor. The master bedroom is the only exception, and the only one that still seems in use. Multiple other rooms, especially on the third floor, look dusty and unused.

Host: Jack Hennessy
For real though, first on his way to a meeting and then when he had something better to do and now literally on his way into the shower? He'd known that any door could lead to one of these damn portals, but he hadn't expected his shower door to do the same.
Good thing it was home, apparently. He bounded up the stairs and collected a towel (because, you never knew, there might be small children or people who just didn't like naked men) before bounding back downstairs to see who was around.
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
Siebenkas sighed. No, he wasn't particularly surprised the hallway had decided to be it's traitorous self that morning, but couldn't it at least have sent him along his way with both shoes?
Then again.
He gave his loafer a look. The same went for the shimmering blue ocean. And the naked gentleman passing by the upstairs window when he turned to make sure there were no kaiju or Nenes bearing monster movies behind him.
Yes. Things could have been a lot worse. He had done the business with the bath towel himself before. As such, he dispatched his remaining shoe to the sedge growing along the sand line. His socks followed.
By the time the less fortunate gentleman came racing back around, he had turned up his trousers and snuggled his toes in the warm sand.
From there, he waved.
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
"Hi," he said, when he got within earshot. "You look like you're enjoying the beach."
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
A pair of gulls in the midst of a disagreement wheeled past overhead and towards the waves. They left him to a smile; a long, lazy stretch.
One he swung out of in an almost childlike fashion. "You were at the bar with in the White Rabbit. You're familiar with this situation."

He paused briefly, considering what a habitable, seaside property would have gone for back in his own realm.
"...or to make you feel guilty for roaming there as you like."

Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
Well, Zephyr had said a lot of things. Many of which were not typical for a person speaking to their father, though they had been /very/ enthusiastic, and so Siebenkas had accepted them for what they were- stories of happiness. He did wonder very briefly if perhaps Jack's parents weren't quite so open-minded. But, then again, not every set of parents included people who were both capable of philosophizing for hours on end on why nakedness was /good/, as had been the case with him and Nathalie back in Taber.
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
Hell, there were only a certain number of things you wanted your parents to know about you.

Siebenkas, who had been standing closer to one than he normally would have admitted, moseyed over and gave it a careful thump. While the sign was perfectly serviceable from a distance, up close, the paint had sheered off in placed and rust leaked out of the screws.
"Anyway, that's awfully generous of you and I do appreciate it. The water's fairly safe for wading in? I saw some seaweed washed up so I'm guessing no squamous acid or other exciting additions."
(OOC: if you recall the brief mention of people-eating jelly in Briar Rose's story...)
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
(ooc: I wish to know more about people-eating jelly.)
Re: Host: Jack Hennessy
A bit of a soft sigh after, he gave one of his pockets a shake. Frowned. And tried the other instead.
"Perhaps you'd care to join me for a stroll?" he asked, jiggling the flask he'd come up with. "It's cognac."
(OOC: I can fix that! *notes ensue*)
