The Villa Is Open
Zephyr had a plan. "We are gonna make you the best electric milkshake that ever was!"
"Or will be!" Pip joined in, clapping her hands over her head as she danced along before him and Roa and generally got in the way of where they were trying to walk.
This gave Zephyr plenty of excuse to pause at the end of the hall and make himself a sweeping gesture. "In the historya... ah..." one that should have ended with him banging his hand on the wall.
Except for the part where the applicable wall had disappeared and not in the usual behold the busted drywall kind of way. It was just gone. Likewise, the hallway and the entirety of Sky Plaza.
Zephyr stood on some low, sweeping stone steps. That happened to be outside, while just a moment before been /inside/ and headed to the kitchen. "OK, what the hell?"
Roa took in the sudden sky all golden up the flanks of the villa before them and held her finger to her lips in curiosity. "I don't know, actually." Then, she attempted to walk down the way they had come. This got her over the steps and almost to the spray from the fountain in the drive before it became quite apparent merely turning around wasn't going to accomplish much besides dampening her shoes. Back up she went. "This *looks* like where they held the last Court of the Manor."
"You dunno?" his next sound was an odd one, not a moan and not a laugh, and awfully feline besides. "Yeah, that's not freakin me out or nothin. Dun you know everythin?"
"Zephyyyr. Same to you."
"You guys," interjected Pip, her bare toes rapping on the stone. "Think this's kinda the same thing happened to Seb."
"Hm?" Zephyr craned himself her way, and their hands tangled together, wires all a-flash.
"Mm!"
"Mnhn."
"Nnn~."
"Well, I like your theory so far," Roa nodded. Mostly, she wasn't being silly right back at their latest ridiculous display. Mostly. "Happened to Siebenkas...?"
"Yeah, he had this dream," the elder of the two evokers almost began to explain, digits working.
Whatever he meant to coax out of the recollections between them, Pip took over, swaying as she did. "He thinks was a dream, but is totally notta dream. I know. I touched him thinkin about it an it was all wrong fora dream. Still didn't make any sense, but not the same kinda way dreams do."
"Also, Seb never dreams he's nekkid. Fun fact."
("So useful, too," Roa remarked, quite to herself.)
"But, he walked outta his bathroom an alla a sudden, he was in this bar in Old New York an there were all these other people an he was almost kinda sorta mebbe flirtin with this mob boss lady over gin an tonic and then there was this real cute muddy guy. Seb didn't think he was so cute, but I did. He got way more distracted by the other lady evoked with her eyes and the booze was good an there were pretty blond polyamourous peeps bonkin in the restroom an... an... an..."
Her not so little description might have gone on another few hours, except that Zephyr reached around with his unoccupied hand and tickled her. The way they'd tangled up together, she must have known it was coming.
Which left Roa to conclude Pip wanted tickled more than she wanted to discuss any washroom adventures. "On one hand, that sounds very much like a dream to me. On the other, if there's some sort of precedent for people in our manor suddenly disobeying all known laws of physics. And you're not playing some sort of elaborate prank."
"Hey! I had my heart set on givin you your first electric milkshake an that's not somethin I'd go back on for any money." Next thing she did know with any certainty, Zephyr had play staggered over, clutching at his shirt, "'m so disappointed it /huuurts/."
"Well, you can make it up to me when the universe goes back to normal."
Grin for the time being, too.
"It is going to go back to normal?"
"Did last time. 's why we still gotta Seb an notta portal to someplace called Dan's," said Pip.
"Alright, so why don't we...?"
"Make the besta it?"
"Yes!" Roa swung from Zephyr's grasp. He only then reached for her, trying to find that place in her moments where the best meant [concrete] he could play after and with her. As it was, he missed her as she skipped the villa steps instead, swirling her skirt in her hands and calling back after: "We're going to get company, right?"
"Woul, that'd be nice, but if not," he shrugged. "We get blitzed an watch the stars come out." A quick little sigh and a pop of his shoulder after, he followed.
Pip watched the space in the sky where the clouds should have been. The end of her nose twitched. "We're so gettin company. Can smell it, almost. Somethin's zactly not right out there." Laughing then, she blew past them both and straight through the doors.

Have fun!
ETA: This post has not been up thirty-six hours and we officially have more than 500 comments. SO I SUPPOSE THIS ISN'T FUN AT ALL AMMIRITE? XD
ETA II: I am really, really touched that everyone wants to take care of the deceased fellow in the pool. I'm sure he appreciates it (he didn't even have a name in the story where he first appeared ;_;). But, alas, there was only one of him and he's currently being handled. He may be installed in a bedroom shortly, and should that happen, I will give him his own thread for poking purposes.
Re: Pip
Good heavens and all that good stuff. On one hand, there was the mudroom guy Seb remembered, and he DEFINITELY wasn't muddy this time. On the other- whoever she was, she was /gorgeous/. And just like Seb would have said "pretty-pretty, not TV pretty".
Her fingers were mostly to cover her delighted grin.
"Ahem," she said. "How can I bea service an all that good stuff?"
(OOC: Sorry! My workday involved golf balls.)
Re: Pip
Johnny considered a moment how to phrase it to her, but wound up going with, "Yan found a body in the pool, an' we're lookin' for someone who might know what we could do with it."
Re: Pip
"I found him floating on the water when I came here," Yuyan told the little girl. "He'd been dead for some time, I'm afraid, so we thought we'd see if someone here knew who to contact...?"
Her throat was getting dry from all this talking; a drink sounded very nice right about now.
Re: Pip
Things were really, REALLY starting to not add up around the Villa. It was after the party and the pool had been becorpsed, but the food was still out and the bend never showed up. Two plus two equaled white doll with bead will be having later canon. Exactly.
"Well," Pip began. "'m friends with the attache of the guy who owns this house, so I can sure try to get ahold of him. In fact, I'll do it right now, but gotta say, the reception round here's better after dark. Might take me a couplea tries till then. In the meantime."
May I poke the deceased in question? I think my Dad's handiwork's neat!
No, not that.
"Could also show you where the bedrooms an the do not disturb signs are. Yknow. For him."
(OOC: Awesomesauce here! Will share tomorrow. I want to have a definitive report on the broken windows.)
Re: Pip
Re: Pip
"We left him at the walkway to the pool," she said. "Shall we bring him here?"
Yes, she was going to need a drink after this.
Re: Pip
"We got bedrooms on every floor, my phone's right here..."
And it was every bit as dead as the person they were discussing placing in the aforementioned bedroom.
"Needa tablecloth for concealin purposes? Oh, maybe I can find some menthol gel up your noses so they, ah, smell doesn't get to you?"
Re: Pip
Other wing, one man's body weight...he hoped Yan could take a decent amount of weight. He could carry the guy the whole way on his own, if he absolutely had to, but he'd like it even less than he'd like the task when shared.
Re: Pip
She turned to Johnny, not wanting to be caught staring. "Would you like to help me carry him?" She could hold her own, small as she was, and if he was a little heavy for her liking, she'd just have to put some internal energy into use.
Re: Pip
This was accompanied by a gesture involving said girl and her rabbity little nose.
As it was met with somewhat lacking enthusiasm, she washed her hands, dried them off, skipped into the back room and returned with a very nice checkered linen tablecloth.
A lime tumbled out of it as she laid it on the counter.
Re: Pip
Re: Pip
She caught the lime in mid-tumble, nodding to Johnny. "Let's go, then."
With two people, carrying a body was much easier, and also less unpleasant with the tablecloth. It elicited a few stares, but soon enough the others were back to their conversations and drinks.
"Could you please show us a bedroom?" she asked the girl. That drink list, however odd, was beginning to look very, very tempting.
Re: Pip
Pip was actually a little surprised at herself. She could have faked her way through this for two people with such an odd concern for people who didn't belong to them. Although, that was fascinating in and of itself- that they had concern at all.
So, when they came back, when they got to watch her hang up for real, she nodded and wrote "Bar's closed. Help yourselves. Back soon!" on the reverse side of the special board.
Which might have worked a little better if that had also been slate and she'd used chalk on it, instead of scrawling this in permanent marker on the cork backing. "This way, if you would."
And she swept her way along the back of the ballroom to the hallway which lead to rooms of less innocent intention than dancing. Having found a likely looking door there, she took a listen, knocked, and asked outright: "Hello~o. Anybody makin out in there?"
Given no answer, she punted open the door.
Re: Pip
Re: Pip
"Is there something we could do to let others know not to come in here?" she asked. "I don't think I'd be pleased to find a body in an empty room..."
Re: Pip
But, not all. Forget Boreas, it was really too bad Doc Spenser wasn't around.
To that end, Pip produced a plastic Do Not Disturb sign to which she had added over top of the French translation: "No seriously. Keep out."
"Found some wet floor signs too, but they seem almost like they're askin people to come in."
Re: Pip
Re: Pip
With the body now tucked out of sight, she sighed in relief. "I...I don't suppose it would be possible to have a drink?" She really could use some rest, now. Finding a dead body on her way here made Dan's Bar look like a twilight stroll.
Re: Pip
"I'd be honored an stuff to make you two any kinda drinks you can thinka. Hard work's its own reward an we got like a gallona the good vodka."
With that, she swept her way to the door and ushered them out past the sway of the Do Not Disturb Sign.

Re: Pip
Re: Pip
"Cosmopolitan's fruity an tart. Singapore Sling's kinda stronger. Oh! An I found some melon liqueur back there, so I can totes makea Tokyo Tower. As for beer, ah, I gotta walkin bigas a fridge. Can ya be more specific?"
(OOC: Tokyo Towers approach Long Island Iced Teas in ambient doom levels.)
Re: Pip
Re: Pip
Besides, her tolerance was quite good for someone her size.
Re: Pip
The lime she dealt with first, whacking it right in half with a santuko that did not belong at a bar straining the juice between her fingers before she ever went for the alcohol- bright pink cranberry vodka and Sables Émouvants orange liqueur dashed off with cranberry juice from a fresh bottle and shaken up with two fistfuls of ice. Nevermind that Pip was one of those people who stretched her boozy little racket right over her head as handled things. The cosmo turned the glass cold frosted over even before she'd gotten the plastic sword with its lime peel and maraschino garnish perched on the edge.
This went to Yuyan with a grin before Pip moved on to beer. "So, that's a Cosmopolitan. If you dun like it, lemme know an we can try somethin else. Tonight's lambic, looks like we got... North Duck Run Coast Special Seawind Fluff. It's from Taber. I think. Name like that it'd better be from Taber."
The foil and the cork posed no problem to her, despite the extra yanking the latter required and the foam that dripped into her limey fingers as she nudged the beer into a tulip glass for Johnny.
