The Villa Is Open

Zephyr had a plan. "We are gonna make you the best electric milkshake that ever was!"

"Or will be!" Pip joined in, clapping her hands over her head as she danced along before him and Roa and generally got in the way of where they were trying to walk.

This gave Zephyr plenty of excuse to pause at the end of the hall and make himself a sweeping gesture. "In the historya... ah..." one that should have ended with him banging his hand on the wall.

Except for the part where the applicable wall had disappeared and not in the usual behold the busted drywall kind of way. It was just gone. Likewise, the hallway and the entirety of Sky Plaza.

Zephyr stood on some low, sweeping stone steps. That happened to be outside, while just a moment before been /inside/ and headed to the kitchen. "OK, what the hell?"

Roa took in the sudden sky all golden up the flanks of the villa before them and held her finger to her lips in curiosity. "I don't know, actually." Then, she attempted to walk down the way they had come. This got her over the steps and almost to the spray from the fountain in the drive before it became quite apparent merely turning around wasn't going to accomplish much besides dampening her shoes. Back up she went. "This *looks* like where they held the last Court of the Manor."

"You dunno?" his next sound was an odd one, not a moan and not a laugh, and awfully feline besides. "Yeah, that's not freakin me out or nothin. Dun you know everythin?"

"Zephyyyr. Same to you."

"You guys," interjected Pip, her bare toes rapping on the stone. "Think this's kinda the same thing happened to Seb."

"Hm?" Zephyr craned himself her way, and their hands tangled together, wires all a-flash.

"Mm!"

"Mnhn."

"Nnn~."

"Well, I like your theory so far," Roa nodded. Mostly, she wasn't being silly right back at their latest ridiculous display. Mostly. "Happened to Siebenkas...?"

"Yeah, he had this dream," the elder of the two evokers almost began to explain, digits working.

Whatever he meant to coax out of the recollections between them, Pip took over, swaying as she did. "He thinks was a dream, but is totally notta dream. I know. I touched him thinkin about it an it was all wrong fora dream. Still didn't make any sense, but not the same kinda way dreams do."

"Also, Seb never dreams he's nekkid. Fun fact."

("So useful, too," Roa remarked, quite to herself.)

"But, he walked outta his bathroom an alla a sudden, he was in this bar in Old New York an there were all these other people an he was almost kinda sorta mebbe flirtin with this mob boss lady over gin an tonic and then there was this real cute muddy guy. Seb didn't think he was so cute, but I did. He got way more distracted by the other lady evoked with her eyes and the booze was good an there were pretty blond polyamourous peeps bonkin in the restroom an... an... an..."

Her not so little description might have gone on another few hours, except that Zephyr reached around with his unoccupied hand and tickled her. The way they'd tangled up together, she must have known it was coming.

Which left Roa to conclude Pip wanted tickled more than she wanted to discuss any washroom adventures. "On one hand, that sounds very much like a dream to me. On the other, if there's some sort of precedent for people in our manor suddenly disobeying all known laws of physics. And you're not playing some sort of elaborate prank."

"Hey! I had my heart set on givin you your first electric milkshake an that's not somethin I'd go back on for any money." Next thing she did know with any certainty, Zephyr had play staggered over, clutching at his shirt, "'m so disappointed it /huuurts/."

"Well, you can make it up to me when the universe goes back to normal."

Grin for the time being, too.

"It is going to go back to normal?"

"Did last time. 's why we still gotta Seb an notta portal to someplace called Dan's," said Pip.

"Alright, so why don't we...?"

"Make the besta it?"

"Yes!" Roa swung from Zephyr's grasp. He only then reached for her, trying to find that place in her moments where the best meant [concrete] he could play after and with her. As it was, he missed her as she skipped the villa steps instead, swirling her skirt in her hands and calling back after: "We're going to get company, right?"

"Woul, that'd be nice, but if not," he shrugged. "We get blitzed an watch the stars come out." A quick little sigh and a pop of his shoulder after, he followed.

Pip watched the space in the sky where the clouds should have been. The end of her nose twitched. "We're so gettin company. Can smell it, almost. Somethin's zactly not right out there." Laughing then, she blew past them both and straight through the doors.

ETA: This post has not been up thirty-six hours and we officially have more than 500 comments. SO I SUPPOSE THIS ISN'T FUN AT ALL AMMIRITE? XD

ETA II: I am really, really touched that everyone wants to take care of the deceased fellow in the pool. I'm sure he appreciates it (he didn't even have a name in the story where he first appeared ;_;). But, alas, there was only one of him and he's currently being handled. He may be installed in a bedroom shortly, and should that happen, I will give him his own thread for poking purposes.

"Oh, probably in Jersey, knowing my luck today," Michael snaps. He pauses, glancing through the room. "No, actually, where are we? And how?"

[johnny_corlioni]

"I got no fuckin' clue," Johnny admitted. He recognized some people--how could he not recognize family members and an FBI agent--but that didn't explain the ballroom. "Not anywhere near home, that's for fuckin' sure."

"Great," Michael darkly mutters, twisting from Johnny's hold. "I just wanted to come home, watch something on the DV-R, and drink a glass of wine. Or sixty." He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Quietly, he adds, "Figure this out, Johnny?"

[johnny_corlioni]

"I'll try. C'mere." Johnny tugs Michael close enough to kiss him lightly. "I'll talk ta Letta, she looks like she knows what's goin' on. Why don' ya go an' get us each a glass a wine, an' I'll meet ya?"

"All right," Michael agrees, stepping aside to move toward the bar. "But you better hurry-- I can't vouch for my level of sobriety if you take too long."

He reaches out, squeezing Johnny's forearm before moving on.

Talking to his sister takes longer than it maybe should--it's the parallel universe thing and three marriages that really throws him off--but she does answer his questions.

When he gets to Michael, he intercepts his glass of wine and swallows it down in one go. At Michael's look, he says, "Wormholes are bringin' us from different times, places, universes... Letta's from a world where polygamy's standard. An' she's from 2014. She says this happened ta her 'fore--she got brought to Dan's when she was supposed ta be goin' ta a meetin'."

"Oh my god," Michael breathes. He cranes his neck, struggling for a clear look at Nicoletta. "How drunk is she?" Snorting, he turns to Johnny. "I mean, that's just ludicrous. ...Right?"

[johnny_corlioni]

"See," Johnny says, "that's the thing. She's completely fuckin' sober." He shakes his head. "I need more wine. She says in her universe, I'm married ta you, Brian, an' Matt. Matt's a platonic marriage. Dunno what's goin' on there, I stopped her when she said she's also married ta him. You're married ta Brian too. An' there're a ton a kids in our house--Brian an' I have six, you an' I have three. So I'm goin' with 'wormholes an' wine'." He shrugs. "The wine also helps lessen the shit with my ma, so that's a bonus."

"I swear to god, Johnny, that's the last time I'm going over there," Michael threatens, gesturing for more wine. He glances over his shoulder, furrowing his brow. "So we're sticking with the wormholes then? And wait, Brian?"

[johnny_corlioni]

"Ya don' haveta go next time, but there's gonna be another, babe. M'sorry."

Johnny shrugs. "That seems like the best explanation, yeah. An' yes, Brian. Think 'bout it. Makes sense that I'd marry him if it was legal an' comin' out wasn' an issue. And I'm married ta ya there, cuz how could I not be?"

"Well, of course, I'm fucking fantastic, Johnny." Michael reaches for their wine when it arrives, handing a glass to Johnny. "I just wouldn't think Brian and me would, well. Get married." He squints. "Of course you'd marry Matt."

[johnny_corlioni]

"Yeah, you an' Brian's a little hard ta wrap my head around," Johnny admitted. He kissed Michael's neck. "I can see it workin', long as he has a quiet space a his own, though." He smirked. "It'd only be better if Matt wasn' straight."

"Of course, I mean wouldn't it be amazing if you could marry and fuck the guy you've been in love with all your life," Michael spits out bitterly. He pivots, swallowing his wine quickly.

After a moment, he sheepishly glances over. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-- it's just that today has been one shitty minute after another and I just wanted to go home, take a bath, cuddle with you on the couch while we watch a movie, and then possibly have you take me upstairs and fuck me so hard I'm sobbing for it, and instead we're..." He trails off, flailing a hand around.

[johnny_corlioni]

"Yeah, I know. Still a shitty thing for ya ta say, though." Still, Johnny rests his hand on Michael's back. "S'a big place. We can look for a room, if ya wanna. Take care a that last part. An' maybe find a tub, too."

[geena]

Michael's glance darts around the room. "Should we? I mean, we just arrived here, and we're gonna run off and--" He swallows, a deep flush creeping over him. "Do you want to?"

[johnny_corlioni]

"Not like s'a party or anythin'." Johnny's hand dipped lower for just a moment. "I was hopin' ta make up for the shitty day anyway..."

Shivering slightly, Michael spins around to face Johnny, nodding. "Yeah, okay. That's, uh. Let's do that." He hesitates for a split second. "Especially the bath part."

[johnny_corlioni]

"Okay. C'mon, babe."

Johnny guesses at the cost of the wine and slaps down cash before standing and catching Michael's hand. "In the manor. Should be plenty a bedrooms, since s'a fuckin' manor."

[geena]

Michael laughs, stumbling after Johnny as he tries to steal a kiss.

"Something with a big bed," he murmurs, skimming fingers over Johnny's hips. "God, we haven't been out of our place in forever, this is wonderful."

[johnny_corlioni]

"Can't say I'm glad we're who the fuck knows where, but this is a plus ta it." Johnny turns suddenly, pinning Michael to a convenient wall and kissing him hard. He presses one thigh up against Michael's crotch as they kiss, then nips his lip and lets go, stepping back.

Michael gasps, tipping his head back against the wall with a thud. "Jesus." When Johnny pulls away, he frowns, shooting him a glar while straightening his clothes.

"Room," he insists, pausing for a second. "With a tub."

[johnny_corlioni]

Johnny laughs. "Ya have plans for this tub? You're pretty fuckin' insistent, babe." Not that Johnny blamed him, but it never hurt Michael to be teased a little.

"C'mon, we'll find one."

[geena]

"I just want a nice soak, and then I want my brains fucked out," Michael admits, voice low. He follows along after Johnny, sparing the occasional glance at their surroundings.

[johnny_corlioni]

Johnny sucks in a breath. "Sounds like a challenge, babe. Haveta see if I can manage ta do that."

They're in the other wing of the house by then, and Johnny deliberates a moment before deciding bedrooms are more likely to be on the second floor. So he starts up the stairs and grabs Michael's ass.

Michael jerks at the contact, pressing back for a second or two before making his way up the stairs. Wherever they are, it's absolutely beautiful, and Michael can't stop craning this way and that.
