Summer Reading Wrap-Up and Novelty Beads Post

Hello, everyone!

I'm first going to apologize, because when I set the dates for Summer Reading I forgot I had a wedding to attend on the 15th and thus was unlikely to get the wrap-up post done.

Summer Reading is now officially over, and Amnesty Week has begun! Claim your novelty beads in this post here!

Please feel free to just come and talk in this post as well. It's been very quiet around here recently, and writing seems to be very hard for many people (me included!) but I miss you all and would like to know what you've been up to.

I didn't do anything for the summer challenge this year even though I really, really meant to, sorry.

It's been tough to get into a writing head space, and when I do I've been focusing on longer works. Though I'm not doing very well with that, either: I just sort of stopped posting the UF serial around chapter 13, because...I dunno. It wasn't from lack of material, because I have more than forty chapters written, but even just formatting the chapters for posting has seemed like too much work.

I think I'm just going to have to relaunch it. Maybe not use Wordpress anymore because I don't really like it (or at least I don't like the free version, and I'm not willing to pay for it at this moment in time) and I think that played a major part in my unwillingness to post. I just don't like looking at it. It would be so much nicer to just post to DW, but Wordpress seems to be where everyone posts their web serials and DW seems kind of dead in general. I'm not sure where else to go?

Maybe I should go ahead and just make a Patreon? Don't know exactly what I would post or give as rewards. And of course I would have to force myself into writing regularly again. Which I haven't since...NaNo 2016. Yeah.

So how are you doing?

If you're writing original fic, have you looked at wattpad? It's set up to be read in small chunks, but it's where a lot of the kids are these days.
