It's gonna be a happy new year

Hello rainbowficcers! I come bearing a game/challenge/thing that I totally and absolutely ran by the mods before posting, absolutely, yes sirree, and am not just skipping that step because I'm impatient. Sorry I love you guys.

The game goes like this:

1. Share a list of your character's New Year's resolutions in the comments.


2. If they're not the kind of person who'd make their own list, participate anyway! Share what would be on that list if they were honest about what they want to accomplish in the next year. Or the slapped together list they'd make if someone in their life forced them to. That's also valid.


3. For each list, receive one random novelty bead from either 1000 Awesome Things or the book 14,000 Things To Be Happy, based on a complex and intensely calculated method I have created.


4. That's it.*


5. BONUS ROUND: Write a story about what your character's doing on New Year's Eve/New Year's Day, post a link, receive a novelty bead from my personal stash of quotes and lyrics.

*Some terms and conditions apply. Please imagine me reading the rest of this paragraph in a rapid undertone. "Complex and intensely calculated method" is synonymous with "depending on whether I feel like getting up to get the book" and "random number generator for awesome thing or happy page". You do not have to do your character's 2016 list; any year is valid. Because characters often want different things at different points in their life, feel free to do multiple lists for a character; you will receive novelty beads for up to three per character, for an unlimited amount of characters, although if you require more than 15,000 novelty beads at the end of this you'll make me cry and do you really want to do that? If you plan on doing more than a couple and would like to keep them all together, feel free to put in a header comment for yourself as author and reply to it with your lists/links.

Challenge is open until January 20th, because late resolutions are the best kinds of resolutions. Have fun?

- Don't listen to Darya, just don't. It's always a bad plan and makes Nate upset
