Kiss: awkward Seb/Vier

"I really don't mind," Vier insisted, hitching his pack on his far shoulder. It might have counted as a shrug. "Perhaps, I even wanted to come this way myself."

Siebenkas nodded.

Around them, the green reached on, misty-bright and humid almost to the point of unbearable.

Breathing made his lips feel like they'd gone wet with someone else's kiss.

Vier swallowed on nothing.

A few more steps up the path, he slitted his gaze the other man's way. "I do like to go on the odd constitutional, you know. And besides, given some of your old injuries, I couldn't exactly..."

"Quiet."

The point of Siebekas's walking stick swung out in front of him.

The treetops said no more and the sky stayed away from where they stood. What movement in the air there was sounded almost like a synth cord, come up heady through the forest.

One of Vier's knees locked, and then the other. He frowned, but he did listen. He listened as hard as he could.

After about a minute of this, he clattered over into the grass, his vision swimming bruised about the edges as everything whirled sideways.

He was only vaguely aware of any stray damnits or of grass shoring off on his bare legs as he moved, though not of his own power. The real water brushing poured against him didn't strike him as that until after some had spilled down his face and into his hair.

He closed his eyes in earnestness, imagining that he was back in the comfortable drafts of the manor with all the ice water he wanted and no damn weight on his chest. That he was done with sweating and aching and...

Peering out into the verdant dregs of the sunshine found Siebenkas curled up, head on his chest, eyes closed, thread of spit running from his mouth. He wasn't snoring per se, but breathing in this peaceable sort of way that only missed the raspy part *of* snoring.

Vier fisted his hand in the other man's hair and gave him a jerk. "Don't sleep on me. I'm not your damn wife."

"I don't... wait, what? Ow!" Siebenkas failed for half an instant.

Half of a delicious instant. In a better mood, Vier might have treated himself to a laugh. Instead, he growled, administering another shake.

Which in turn elicited a deep set-squeak, only vaguely /not/ sexual in nature. Nevermind the way the pink of his tongue flared just past the margin of his lips.

"I said..."

Vier didn't say anything. He pursed his own mouth. Considered. Knew his brain must have gone to condensation to even consider the thought.

But, it was just too much. Between the drowse still slinking in his body and the next little trill, he leaned up and bit Siebenkas hard on the mouth. Some might have called it a kiss. He called it both of them falling spitty back to themselves once it was over.

"I was making sure you were still breathing!"

"Same to you. Now, get off of me!"

Siebenkas groaned, but melted into the grass, properly beside Vier this time. A few blades clung to the sweat on his brow given that his face tipped down into the softness. "God damn it, Nene was right. This was a terrible day to go hiking."

"Hiking?" Vier frowned. "I thought we were bird watching. The way you kept shushing me, which BY THE WAY..."

"Ah. That. I was trying not to gripe about what a terrible day it was to go hiking."

"Well, lovely."
