RP: Is this Heaven?
There is a reception area, and at first glance, it looks to be like most reception areas: there is a front desk, a hallway that leads away, boasting a row of doors appearing to go on forever; there are two other doors immediately visible, one bearing the words Conference Room and the other Committee Chair, both etched in fine glass. All of the décor is elegant, if cold: everything is done up in blues and whites, and the chairs and couches provided look like they were chosen more for their appearance over their actual functionality.
If not for the sense of other in the room, it might seem like an ordinary office building.
It isn’t.
Welcome to heaven! Feel free to explore. A very freaked out Gabriel will probably greet you at some point.

Re: Kevin Walker
Re: Kevin Walker
He realized he looked like he was grimacing, and that probably didn't help; he forced his face back into a more socially-acceptable shape.
"No. I don't remember how I got here. Do you?"

"I remember getting up early to pack for a flight. Might've fallen back asleep, but... don't think this is a dream."
He shrugged and decided to make the best of it. "Kevin. You?"

"My first instinct, poke around, see what happens. See if things react the same as... normal. Real world. Whatever word fits." He looked down the hallway at the many doors, then toward the reception area. "People seem calm, at least..."
That made him think: were the other people here used to the supernatural? Was she normal? That might be good to know. The weird sense-of-something was overwhelming, but he might still be able to look over. Unconsciously, he grimaced again as he tried to attune his senses to both sides.
"Does it feel weird in here to you?"

Apart from the essential strangeness of being somewhere you hadn't expected.
It didn't feel strange like the last place had, for that matter. It felt... well, peaceful, but very distinctly not where she'd been expecting.

He shrugged again, scratching his neck awkwardly, and decided it couldn't hurt to be specific. "Would have expected something to try to eat us by now, honestly."

Kevin rolled his shoulders back, trying to look nonchalant. "Huh? Nah... Just, you know, weird stuff happens, people disappear, doesn't usually mean good things, right?"
It definitely wasn't a daily basis, anyway. More like a triweekly basis. Twice a month at most. And some of those were just gators.
He grinned and gestured to the hallway. "How do you feel about trying a door?"

"Maybe. Not much here other than doors and people, though. What would you do?"
On the other hand, maybe it was trying to eat him via apathy. He didn't feel very apathetic, though, just "not in danger".
It was very confusing.
