Your characters are adorable and endearing. It makes me happy to read about them. Even when they hork up hairballs.

OK, /especially/ when they hork up hairballs.

Yeah, I haven't been able to write for the last several months, and I don't know when I'll get started again. :P But I'm always up for a love meme? :S

You may have been scarce, but I looked forward to your stories all the more for it. I think you write Molly and Annabelle so intelligently, to the point where it doesn't even bother me to read about them, except in the sense that I feel so terrible for them. Also, Percival might be my favorite character ever?

Fitting that one of my favorite stories of yours is this one. It's just so... clear about what a writer is and does and how one would cope with the apocalypse.

I really love how you manage to make all your characters seem like real people, even (especially?) when they're making really dumb decisions. I'm a huge history fan, too, so it's a real delight to read the Mondian Chronicles and play spot-the-historical-inspiration. :D I think this is my personal favorite of your stories; I think it showcases your strengths.

Because giving love to you is SO HARD. :D

Where do I even start? You're fabulously imaginative, with the most awesometastic descriptions I've ever read. Your characters leap off the page and sometimes start strangling people (sometimes start having sex with them, Zephyr) and are just so vividly real. I just love reading your stories; it's almost like hearing someone read aloud to me. With a hot chocolate voice. With whipped cream on.

Am I allowed to pick this as my favorite, or is that too egotistical? I can't help it, I just adore the way you write Jack and his sisters, and them interacting with Zephyr and Pip brings warm fuzzies to my heart. But if I can't pick that, then thiiiiis fuck yeah this, THAT LAST LINE I still remember it.

Meh, like I said to Charley, it just increases the anticipation. :D

I am both... really pleased and rather sad that you write so well about depression, because I feel like anyone who writes THAT well about it knows what it's like from the inside, and that's not something I'd wish on anyone. But at the same time you capture it so well, all the darkness and the insidious voices and the cruel things people say. Actually, you have a really keen eye for the darker side of humanity, from grief and loss to rage and hatred, and yet you manage to leave hope clear on the other side.

I think this is my favorite of your stories, for all those reasons.

We will wait patiently, don't worry, bb. <3

Ugh, where do I start with you? You write James and Mort so well, to start; they feel like genuinely real people to me (and I for one would like to hang out with both of them. James and I could cuddle and Mort and I could watch TV. IT WOULD BE AWESOME). Everything just... works. I know how much effort you put into your writing because I've seen you actually writing and yet the final product doesn't seem as if you put any effort into it at all-- which is meant to be a compliment; you make it look easy.

This will probably always be my favorite but mostly because it makes my inner librarian shriek with joy. But this is a close runner-up, along with anything involving rainbow bubbles, because OH JAMES.

Amazing characters, amazing descriptions, lots of story elements that I just want to roll around in in glee. Less than humble beginnings or not, your story is immensely entertaining!

Your characters are so real--their pain and triumphs and losses and loves--it's a huge delight when I see you've posted something new. Gina/Ivy is my OTP forever and Shine Like It Does is an amazing story.

I love how everything in Polyfaceted seems so thought out, how compelling the characters are and even at their worst they are hugely entertaining to read.

I love the chances you take, I love the stories you tell. I love the word choice and the can't and the pride you take in your work.

I basically just glee over you, not gonna lie.

I am rather amused by this and I can't tell you why. I'm glad to know that they are endearing and sweet though. That is awesome.

[personal profile] sharpeningthebones 2013-01-02 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh....Oh my. *beams* That is awesome. I got scared about writing Molly and Annabelle because they are so.....yeah. It's so easy to do it wrong and I am terrified of screwing that up but it's nice to know I am doing it well.

:D Percival is my favoirte too, he is a dear and I adore him.

Wow I didn't know I could do that. I've always done happier pieces because I thought I couldn't do anything dark, but it makes me happy to know that I can capture such emotions that way. Yes, many of my pieces about grief, depression, and the things that follow are taken from RL experiences unfortunately, but I've always tried to look at the bright side of things even if the cloud is really dark.

I'm very flattered that you enjoy my stories. I like that one too because like Tsukino, Claire is my character when I'm feeling down.

Thank you so much ^^

I love your characters you're able to show everything so well from loss to love to the bs minorities go through daily everything is done so well and there are so many characters that I love (though my favorites have to be Torey, Eileen, Isabella, Johnny, Michael, Erica, and Flavia to name a few, oh and I forgot Grace ^_^)

Everything is so developed that I sometimes read my favorite pieces over which is too many to name. XD

I like how each character seems to be thought out and fleshed out if that makes an earthly sense haha. They're all very distinct in their own ways.
