Writing Q and A - With Yourself
The other day (okay, more like two weeks ago)I cam across a podcast on youtube. The podcast had a special guest that was a magazine writer. It got me to thinking: wouldn't it be cool if the writers at rainbowfic could do a q and a? I scanned the internet (and asked for questions at my DW journal) and came up with several questions to ask myself. I then recorded it and have posted it at mediafire.
The whole idea is to let everyone discuss their characters, writing process, and answer burning questions that all their readers seem to ask.
Here is the audio q and a for Surely Someday. It's my first time doing this sort of thing, so please excuse the awkward pauses and what not. Also, I have a bit of a speech issue, so please forgive them.

MAGGIE WATCHES DR. WHO. WHY IS THAT SO ADORABLE. A LOT OF THIS IS REALLY ADORABLE.
I really like Simon and Maggie together. It just- it doesn't always make sense in the why department, but I like it. But, for Simon's one true love? This is going to sound odd, but I would totally give him a really dudely car guy and then have him talk about his odd feelings with Maggie. Mebbe hack up abother rat or a show... My two cents! Remember- I am in the peanut gallery. You're the writer. I'm a nut.

I'm so glad you find Maggie watching Doctor Who adorable. These characters are surprisingly adorable at times. Simon and Maggie are completely best friends forever and I really do like their scenes. Especially when he's being protective or she's freaking out over cake or something.
It was mentioned in 'Douglas Andrews' that Andrews was married and that his wife died a little while before he went to see Maggie. Actually, he went to see her to try and figure out if she knew about the after-life. Andrews and his love of metal, I just can't. It seems so foreign to who he is now. Maybe one day I can write some flashbacks. (Okay, I have plans for an early days Maggie and Andrews scene in either chapter six or seven of arc one)
