September Secrets

Let's have a quick challenge for the end of September. Write a story about a character and a secret. What character? What kind of secret? That's up to you. One novelty bead for every five hundred words or fraction thereof. The challenge will last from today, September 22nd, through September 30th.

Oh, btw, I was reminded again (feeling more like writing!) that I asked you once before about having a Colour of the Day (the way RaTs used to have a Flavour of the Day) and you seemed amenable and just wanted a link to use. And I think this one would do? I realise it'd needed to be added to lists and maybe the profile, but other than that I don't think it would need anything else. Anyway, if you just would rather not, I won't bring it up again!

(And probably just watch me not write anything anyway, but I did always love having that option.)

I'm sorry to bother you again about this Colour of the Day thing. The comm is quiet and I understand perfectly if you'd rather not!

But if you really are happy to do so and lack of a banner is the only thing stopping it happening, well, I have had a go at making one. (The font used in most of the comm banners seems, unfortunately, to be some variant on Core Sans G (probably outline or neon or cube, it's not clear) which is paid-only. However, Futura otherwise matches exactly in style - just no little outline. So, I thought, make it black instead of white in a This One's Meant To Be Different way! Size etc. is of course the same):

(I can alter them or use a different pic of course).

I feel so sorry for badgering you! But, yay, we have a Colour of the Day! I've been having new boiler related stuffs, but when I pick myself back off the floor, I'm in a very in-betweeny stage where CotD prompts are a very useful thing!
