"Um, either of them. Any Johnny. Ever. Hell, I'm lucky your Johnny didn't flat-out castrate your Matt for marrying you." Matt straightens his pajama bottoms, wishing for the billionth time that he at least had socks. "I could use another drink, yeah."

Weird night.

Nicoletta cocked her head. "Why would he care? If anything, he should be pissed at me that I was going to marry his husband." She unstuck the door and gestured. "A drink or two, on me."

Matt makes his way into the hallway, brow furrowed. "Um, because he's Johnny? Because he and Torey spent most of my teenage years warning me away from anyone-- especially anyone female-- that they were related to?"

"Okay," Nicoletta said after a second, "there is something fucked up about your universe. Younger siblings, when we were under eighteen, sure, but specifically sisters, no. Or as adults, for that matter."

"Dude, I'm married to you and Johnny. You're telling me that's not a little fucked up?" They approach the bar and, briefly, Matt wonders if he should worry about his alcohol intake for the night. Ah, fuck it, things have been weird enough. "I have to be honest, you're not that much different than what I expect you to grow up into."

"That's a little weird," Nicoletta conceded, "but it's culturally acceptable. How is it acceptable for him to be more protective of sisters than brothers, especially at my age?" She leaned her hip against the bar and gave Matt a grin. "Hope you're not expecting me to grow up this sexy."

"There are so many things wrong with that sentence, I don't know where to begin. So let's say no, I'm not." Matt pauses thoughtfully. "I am kind of expecting you to grow up into a terrifying super-villian, though. No offense."
