Why is writing so goddamn hard?

Or, is anyone else having a hard time writing this year? Everything seems to be going to hell in a handbasket so my writing might as well go along, is how I apparently feel.

Yeah.
Not a good writing year for me *at all*. And we're up to October.

Though I'm toying with idea of trying Nanowrimo again this November. Not that I think I can make the word count in a single month. But maybe trying would at least crack me out of my writing slump. I dunno.

That's what I'm doing. I have won Nano enough times that I stopped just having fun with it, but I think just trying to cheat my way to 50k will be a heck of a challenge this year.
