Summer Olympics: Lilith Faire
Shooting, boxing, and fencing are finished as of last night! Thanks for participating! Next, we have our halftime celebrations, Lilith Faire.
Every day this week, from today, August 16th, through Tuesday, August 23rd, we will post links to three songs. Write a fic based on one of those songs. You may write three fics every day, if all three songs catch your fancy or spark something. One to 500 words will get you one novelty bead, and so on for each additional 500 words. There may also be special bonus novelty beads for completing all three fics each day and for completing all fics. Today's songs:
Main Stage: No Fear, Terri Clark
Second Stage: South Tacoma Way, Neko Case
Village Stage: Things I'll Never Say, Avril Lavigne
Continuing all summer:
Lap Swimming: Write the same story four times, as a miniature, a 500-1000 word story, a 1000-5000 word story, and a 5000-10k story. Earn ten novelty beads for completing the entire event.
Hurdles: Give another author a saturation to write. They will give you one as well. Whoever finishes first, wins the match. Ten novelty beads for the winner, five for the second-place.
Synchronized Swimming: Pick a partner and do some interactive art! Receive a novelty bead for a story 0-500 words, and an extra bead for every extra five hundred words.
Triathalon: Over the course of the summer post a miniature, a portrait, and a mural. Earn ten novelty beads for completing the entire event.
The special color, Olympic Gold, and the Summer Blockbuster event also continue.
If you don't have a partner for the events requiring such and still want one, use this post. Don't forget to claim your novelty beads for the Opening Ceremonies, also at that post, for the Pentathalon at this post, Gymnastics at this post, Rhythm Gymnastics at this post, and Shooting, Boxing, and Fencing at this post!
