Hello, Loungers!

Today, we begin the Futurism, the first art movement and seasonal challenge of 2013. Just as we did with the art movements last year, you can participate by setting yourself a challenge for the season. Your challenge may range from a word count to a number of colors done to a certain number of styles or supplies completed to a combination of these. Once you've chosen your challenge, comment here so that it's recorded, then go ahead and get started. You can sign up through January 15, though your goal accomplishment starts to count today regardless of when you sign up

Futurism runs from today, January 1, through Sunday, March 24. We will have an Amnesty Week from Monday, March 25, through Sunday, March 31; if you're behind, that's your chance to catch up. More details on Amnesty Week will be announced when we get there.

Since I really need to start utilizing my bingo cards (I have one from origfic_bingo and one from darkfantasybingo, I think I'll set doing five colors paired with pastels.

Is it okay if I count the colors I'm already working on? They already count as pastels (since I've been using this community to help me actually complete bingo cards) and I've only just started on them.

It's completely okay. As long as it's a challenge for yourself, that's the part that matters. So you're doing five pastel tapestries, if I understand correctly?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. One of the colors I'm working on is only fifteen prompts so that won't count, but the other two are twenty or more. :)

I'm never able to keep up, but new year new challenges!

I want to finish Blush and Dove Grey again. Oh and one saturation.

My goals are:
--Complete a Bichromatic (I'm thinking Dove White and Dove Grey, but the specific colors might change)
--Complete the two Paint-By-Numbers I have (Russet and Wasabi)
--Complete at least three Saturations
--Complete at least one Mixed Media
--Complete a Tapestry
--Reach 100 in all Supplies I currently have over 70 in (Canvas, Oils, Modeling Clay, Pastels, Novelty Beads) and reach 50 in all Supplies I currently have over 35 in (Frame, Brush, Acrylic, Yarn)
--Write at least one story in The Institute Files

My last attempt at this kind of failed, so I think my goal for this is to just finish up my current colors. I think I should be able to do that in the time span listed.

I have several goals this time around:

- Finish Rocks Fall, aka the Apocalypse AU Mural [this has been a WIP for years, and I need motivation]
- Do Elvish Green (not the Paint-by-Numbers one, the other one)
- 60,000 words
- Finish Metallic Gold, Lawn Green, Harvard Crimson, and Zing
- Get to 10 each Frames {8 now}, Pointillism {2 now}, Stained Glass {1 now}, and Mixed Media {1 now}

I have two Big Bangs due during this time, and I'm doing orgasm_circlet this month (for which my goal is the rough draft of one Big Bang), so let's see if I can complete everything.

I want to try to finish the two colors I've got going. I have 7 prompts left on Fog Grey and 14 left on Skyblue Pink with Striped Polka Dots.
