"You chew it," Ivy said, enthusiastically, "and then you swallow it, and it goes into your stomach. And your stomach has these acids, right, that breaks the food down? And it gets some of the nutrients. Then it goes into your small intestine, which gets the rest of the nutrients, and then into your large intestine, which takes all the water out, and that makes poop! And that's why we don't eat poop, because we have really good digestive systems, but bunnies and horses and stuff don't have such good systems so they eat their poop 'cause there's still like, bits of food in there that they can eat. Isn't that cool?"
