Apparently, Erica's default setting on seeing people who looked disoriented when they were in a hospital was to wonder what might be wrong with them--even though, in this case, wondering if they'd just shown up here like she had was a perfectly valid question.

She still hadn't ruled out a head injury for herself, but as long as her mind was playing fun little tricks on her, she could at least play along.

"Are you all right?" she asked the man.
