Haha, it makes me hang my head in shame that my Serpent Folk answer wasn't as rich and complex. I do appreciate the additional stuff in this comment, though, even if you didn't put it in the original! I don't think life with the Serpent Folk is necessarily as complex as the salkiys--I think I got as far as village elders and possible designated roles, but that was about it. They were a bit more old-world/tribal in that sense.
