What has most inspired me is The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir. Ever since I read that book I've been fascinated by each woman and I wanted to do my own take on the story with the women featured prominently and how they related to the husband (in this case Henri I).
History also inspires me a great deal. I'm rather fond of European History and I'm starting to branch out into other disciplines. Women in history also interest me a great deal. As a woman, I like to read about how women got by being a male's world. It really pisses me off that there isn't that much written about women compared to their husband and sons. This particular thread of thought also motivates me in writing TMC. While the men are important to my story, I tend to focus on the women and that's not an accident haha.
Anything can be an inspiration for me honestly. It seems lately that everything I look at or think about, I want to incorporate into my story.
