"Mom's bi," Zach said after a moment. "So's Dad, actually. But Mom talked to us, openly, about the problems with Catholicism and the things she doesn't buy into about the dogma. She believes in it overall, she just doesn't think any man is infallible. That helped a lot with me. My parents were always accepting, about everything to do with us. I think--I think that made all the difference. She's religious, but we're more important, and for her, the most important part of the dogma is that God is loving."
