"Well, at a function," said Roa, then took a moment to add, "A function I was aware of beforehand."

The ballroom had really filled up since she'd last come through it. Speaking of the Court of the Manor, just about as many couches had been conquered. And the bar! Pip had her hands full.

But not too full for Roa, or so Roa noted with a certain bright satisfaction. One which she shares, of course. Just reached across the bar for a quick touch with Pip.

"Sorry bout the wine. 'm not up on my roses. Who's your friend?" said Pip, even though she had most likely gotten that last bit. This way though, nobody got left out and Pip got to list sideways for a good long look at this other guest.

"Nicoletta. And Nicoletta, this is Pip."
