I am very much up for collage or interactive art or paint-by-numbers etc!

I have 2 main canons I have written for here:-

1. Heroes of the Revolution & Divide and Rule a late 20th C set dystopian Britain with a lot of politicking, except that it disintegrated into many many AUs for Edward & Julia. The period written for covers 1920s-1960s mainly, and 1920s-1940s is mostly still our universe, so anyone writing in that period could easily work in a crossover between some of the characters. The AU aspect is a post-WWII totalitarian utilitarian state + some unspecified series of disasters going on elsewhere in the world. (My worldbuilding petered off because making the 20th C worse was never a fictional aim of mine. I know the outlines of the differences, but I just go, "Dear God" and run away back to the D&R sections every time I think of it. But basically: stuff gets worse and worse post-war with shortages and a dictatorship set up to 'fix' this, which goes about as well as most dictatorships. There are then 1970s/80s rebels who are the main characters in the HotR sections I almost never wrote because I plotted them out far too hard in the original meme.)

Several of the characters are politicians, and one of the main D&R characters, Edward Iveson, works in the Foreign Office and later is Foreign Secretary, so he would also be easy to place in the era in other countries.

Heroes of the Revolution/Divide and Rule: Masterpost here - this post includes a chronological list of all fic written for it, both here and at LJ's runaway_tales comm as well as links to the original [community profile] isurrendered posts (still on LJ). ([community profile] isurrendered was a fake TV meme that went around; it was great for coming up with original canons.)

Dreamwidth edition of those posts: Divide and Rule | Heroes of the Revolution: Main Cast & Setting & Heroes of the Revolution: Recurring Cast & Episode Guide. (The HotR DW versions have lost the images, but the rest of the post is intact and D&R even has its pictures.)

Because it exists in a meta-sense as a fake TV show with a known cast, broadcast date etc, it could also be used that way - your characters could interact with it as a fictional show in any real world set canon or your piece could be OOC fanfic for it or a review of it.

You can also find (almost) all the LJ-era fic also collected together in a Series on AO3. ('Almost' because the longer Edward/Julia AUs were posted separately, but those are less relevant for these purposes.) Most pieces can be read individually.

2. Starfall a secondary world fantasy/soft SF (because it is set on a planet in the far, far future in a universe that could be this one or an AU version of it, except in practice, in the stories, on the world itself, it's basically fantasy.) The world has a rift running through it and the space above it, which has some strange effects on things and means there is access to a liminal beyond-time-and-space place they call the Boundary Paths. For these purposes, this does mean that technically anybody could come through the rift to this world. (It's not something that generally happens there but it theoretically could and almost certainly has at least once or twice in the past.)

At the moment, there are two storylines, 24 years apart in the capital city of one country, and in Starfall Manor on the borders of that country, and people are welcome to borrow the world/universe or the characters, as they wish, and I would be delighted to try and answer any questions.

I still need to add fuller posts for this myself and will update this comment as soon as I have them. For the moment, the Masterpost is here.

[Comment in Progress!! apologies mod for all the editing. ♥]
