James set down the two coffees and shook Aaron's hand. "Pleased to meet you, Aaron."

"Just Mort, please," Mort said, putting down his knitting. "Only James calls me Mortimer any more. Glad to meet you, Joy, Aaron." He was trying to scuffle his right leg off the chair and stand up to shake hands, but it wasn't quite working.
