New Regular Challenges - Writers Salon
Some of you got a sneak peak of this when I shared a screenshot on the Discord, but I've been meaning to start this and what better time than now. These are going to be fortnightly/every other week posts where you can talk about your stories in a less structured way than writing. I'll be posting these here, on the discord, and on the tumblr.
There will be four topics, on different days:
Art Monday - post art for your story, whether that's things you've drawn, pic-crews, moodboards, or anything else
Would Building Wednesday - build up your world: history, institutions, flora and fauna, geography, languages, technology, idioms, traditions, sports, mythology, etc
Blorbo Blursday - (blorbo is a Tumblr term) talk about one of your characters; motivations, backstory, their family, whatever. I'll try to have questions you can optionally answer
Story Bible Sunday - time to build up your story bible. That's a place to keep all the details that you might need, including things like character profiles, timelines, background info, floor plans, maps, snippets that don't yet fit anywhere, information on items, and other important details. This obviously overlaps with the others
Today is Story Bible Sunday, so tell me about an important item or place in your story (or whatever you'd like to talk about)
